Endless Stairs

The stairs zigzag up and to the left or right forever. [Climb] takes one step in the direction you're facing, and [Turn] turns you around and takes one step the other way. Step where there's no stair and you fall. The time gauge at the top keeps draining and refills a little with every step. The higher you go, the faster it drains, so you have to keep speeding up. If it runs out, the game ends too. Your score is the number of stairs you climbed. The staircase is fixed for each board, so you can compete with friends on the exact same one.

How to play

1. If the next stair is in the direction you're facing, press [Climb].
2. If it's on the other side, press [Turn]. You turn around and step up.
3. A wrong press makes you fall. The game also ends when the time gauge runs out.
4. Your score is the number of stairs. On a computer: ← Turn, → Climb.

Tips for a better record

• Look two or three stairs ahead, not at your character.
• Use one thumb per button. It's much faster.
• Be accurate first, then speed up once you find a rhythm. The gauge is more forgiving than it looks.
