Number Memory
The numbers keep getting longer. How many digits can you remember?
What is this game?
Memorize a number that flashes on the screen, then type it back exactly. It starts at 3 digits and grows by one each time you get it right. One mistake and it's over. Your record is the longest number you remembered. Most people can hold about 7 digits in their head at once.
How to play
- When the countdown ends, a number appears briefly.
- When it disappears, type the same number on the keypad.
- Get it right and a number one digit longer appears.
- One mistake ends the game. Your record is the longest number you got right.
Tips for a better record
- Chunk the digits into groups of 3 or 4, like a phone number. You'll remember far more.
- Read the digits to yourself with a rhythm, as if saying them out loud.
- Linking groups to years or dates you know, like "1989," makes them stick.
